Anyone else waiting until WiiHD to buy V ...

I really want to jump into the VC heaven with the 40-50 games I wan't from there but I would rather wait until Wii2 is released in the hope of up-scaling and I don't really trust Nintendo of Europe (for several personal reasons with old N consoles). I want to wait and see what N does with the VC games. *Would they let you play all the VC games you bought on Wii on the Wii2 or do I have to re-buy everything?
*Would a better storage solution exist on Wii2?
*Will the VC on the Wii2 have the option of up-scaling?
*Will there even be VC games?

The questions are endless and I'm far to cynical to trust a game company (any game company).

I am of course buying Wiiware games.
Don't take this as a Wii hater thread because it isn't but it's hard to say anything slightly bad about Nintendo on this board even it isn't any criticism at all. Anyone else waiting until WiiHD to buy V ...

yep, only 3 more years to go lolim sure they will be transferable, that is, if the new wii is even TRUELY coming out
Just to let you know that Wii2(WiiHD or whatever) won't come out until at least 2011-2012.
I really want to jump into the VC heaven with the 40-50 games I wan't from there but I would rather wait until Wii2 is released in the hope of up-scaling and I don't really trust Nintendo of Europe (for several personal reasons with old N consoles). They'll most likely let you link your account from your old Wii to a new one letting you be able to download all the games you previously had. *Would a better storage solution exist on Wii2? It will most likely have a moderately sized built-in hardrive
*Will the VC on the Wii2 have the option of up-scaling?It's been confirmed that the next Nintendo console will be HD ready, so yes.
*Will there even be VC games? The service is very successful so I don't think they'll drop it.
Answers in bold, if you're willing to live without VC games for at least 3 to 4 years then wait, upscaling is just adding filters to an image before it's resized so that it doesn't look THAT bad when being proyected on a large screen so it doesn't really ''enhance'' the image. Also I don't think Nintendo will release full HD VC games, it's your call really. Though there are some ''ways around that'' *cough*homebrew*cough*
I suggest getting your VC games when they become available for download on the new DSi (or the next DS after that). For some reason, I find myself enjoying these old games a lot more on a handheld than on a console. Playing Yoshi's Island and Super Mario World on the GBA/DS was a blast. Playing Donkey Kong Country and Super Metroid on the Wii was a letdown to say the least. They don't look good on a big screen and the controls (even with a classic controller) don't feel right. Also, I don't think you should hold your breath on any up-scaling capabilities. =)
Don't you think it would be kinda dumb to wait like 3-4 years? Just get one now. Cause believe me as soon as a newer one comes out, the very next day somebody's gonna say '' When is the next one coming out? Should I wait like 6 years for the next one?'' Live for today people.
Great, so you're going to wait until 2011-2012 to buy anything? Maybe check out your local library so you can keep busy while you wait?

Well I have had a Wii for over a year now and I buy all the good Wiiware games to support quality but I have waited to play some of the games on the VC for over 5-6 years so I can wait a couple of more.

They are old games (but superb) anyway so it's not really living today.

Yeah, let's hold out for the HD hardware before getting some 8 bit games. Good idea. :P
I predict that if/when wiihd comes out then you will be incredibly dissappointed by the fact that nintendo won't upscale the current vc games. That's just how it is. I think that if nintendo wanted to spend money/time upscaling old games then they would have already done so with the wii's current abilities.
Oh yeah, Super Mario Bros. 3 HD.

That would be awesome:P.
What a great idea.......
Nope, I figure why wait 3+ years for games I want to play now? If Nintendo doesn't (for some odd reason) link the Wii VC to next the console so you can transfer your games or anything like that, then I still have the games no matter what on my Wii. They aren't going anywhere and when the next Nintendo console comes out its not like Nintendo will hack into everyone's Wii via Wii Connect 24 and take back everything you've downloaded.I say jump on it now, there's no sense in waiting for something that might happen and what would be worse is if you do wait and Nintendo transfers over the VC and doesn't upscale things like XBLA does. If that's what you are interested in then I'd say go with the Xbox 360, if not enjoy the VC games as they are and the way they were meant to be played. Why wait when you can enjoy now?
WiiHD? Is Nintendo running out of ideas now or something? They always used to have different names for their consoles, but they're just making a redesigned Wii for the next gen now? That's absolute bs.....
