EarthBound? Maybe, probably not though since I still have the cartridge (and guide...loved that case). Mother 3 I would be all over...ever since it released on the GBA in Japan I've been waiting for some kind of port.
Mother 3 if for GBA. Its impossible. But for Earthbound, what do you think?
Look at it this way... the more people who buy Earthbound on the VC (when it's released) the better chance we have of getting a new Earthbound for the Wii.And yes, I'd download Earthbound or a translated version of Mother 3 for the VC to support the cause.

I would get Earthbound but not Mother 3 since it is a GBA game and it would never come out for the VC.Although I still have hope for a DSi VC where old handheld games will be available!
Mother 3, no, I already have it and have beat it numerous times...EarthBound, yes, I always get to the end and never finish it when my friend lets me borrow it. This would give me a chance to finally just finish it....

Nintendo will do the smart thing and cancel a VC release for Earthbound.They would make so much more money if they just made it for the DS. Look at Chrono Trigger. Even though its just a port with nothing new they people are still going to buy it. Gamers will realize that the DS port is the only thing they are going to get so they will go out and buy it.If Nintendo decided to make the Earthbound/Mother series to the DS they will have a trilogy to make money off of.Lets just hope Nintendo does not open its eyes to this possibility.
I would get Earthbound
Earthbound no. Great game but I already have it. Not buying it again. As for mother 3. No Cuz I'm going to be playing the fan translation when it comes out.
I've already got both, but I'd buy them again. I want EarthBound on the VC so I can gift a few copies to friends. It's hard to loan out a game as uncommon as EarthBound. Also, the Mother 3 fan translation should be out in a day or two.
I wouldn't get either of them. I don't like the gameplay of Earthbound, so I'll probably not like Mother 3's gameplay either.

[/QUOTE]i agree that they are both over-rated... but i would also agree with other people who say that they are awesome and that anyone who enjoys RPGs but doesn't play these games is missing out.
I would have to say that Earthbound or Mother 2 is one of my all time favorites and I cant wait till it comes to the VC. As far as Mother 3 goes Ive never played it but I'd really like to.
