it got 70%.Pros: Clean presentation; extremely user-friendly; directly targeted at young, casual audience.Cons: The more traditional ''hardcore'' gaming audience will simply not care about the experience it offers.Highlights:%26bull; ''Now that we've spent a good deal of time with Wii Music ourselves, we're confident in saying the following: If you have young children, buy this game and enjoy it with them. It's obvious that Wii Music is firmly targeting this demographic ...We found ourselves enjoying the overall experience more when we played with our kids at home and far less when we were playing on our own.''%26bull; ''Gameplay is extremely simplistic. You can't lose. It's not a competitive sort of game at all, and in fact, there's no right or wrong way to create your own melodies.''%26bull; ''Handbell Harmony plays a little bit like Guitar Hero in as much as you need to time note hits on a moving soundboard. This game needs both the Remote and Nunchuck to be played and is reasonable fun. Pitch Perfect is the final of the three game modes and is a simple trivia affair based on tone recognition. Order a selection of Miis from left to right, lowest to highest pitch, or listen to a note pitch from the speaker on-screen and match up the Mii with the same pitch. The games provide an interesting distraction for a while, with the carrot being you can always return to try and improve your high score.''%26bull; ''The final mode is a virtual drumkit which is pretty cool, but sadly, is only available to players that own the Wii Balance Board peripheral (which is packaged with Wii Fit). After a little practice, it's quite possible to bang out a semi-realistic drum experience providing you get to grips with the modifier buttons and Balance Board.''%26bull; ''Wii Music is an odd duck. It is far from a traditional videogame, and more akin to a tech demo or social audio experiment. The fact that it is so very basic means it's completely accessible to anyone, but at the same time there's not much here to interest regular and core gamers. It'll be a definite hit with younger children and in turn, parents and family members will love to watch the reactions of this demographic.''They emphasised throughout the review that this game is for ''young kids'' (they said ''kid'' three times and ''young'' five times in their 11-paragraph review).GameSpy Wii Music Review

meh, it seems to be getting mixed reviews, ( a 9 from 1 up reviews, 5 from ign and this) i wonder wat GS will give it, although the game does look pretty stupid

Cons: The more traditional ''hardcore'' gaming audience will simply not care about the experience it offers.
How is that a bad thing?Nintendo, nor any developer, should care about pleasing the ''hardcore'' audience.
I think GameSpy's point is that it is not really appealing for all ages. It's so basic that it has nothing to offer those who aren't young kids or don't have them because it is so easy and lacks challenge. For a little kid, waving around the Wiimote to make music is awesome, and putting Miis in order of pitch can be a nice challenge. For someone else, it probably won't be.
Not a bad score...
So far this game isn't a complete failure. Its actually pretty fair.
It's gotten extremely divergent reviews. It's not usual for a game's first few reviews to range from 50-90%.
