Question about Secret of Mana

I love RPGs, esspecially from the 16bit era so Im wondering if I will like Secret of Mana. I know they say its better plaing with friends but if I were to play solo would the game be just as good?Question about Secret of Mana

Playing with friends is just a plus.

It's good with friends and alone. There is an action grid for each character that allows you to adjust the AI behavior of your partners. You can even adjust how much they charge their weapons per attack. It's still a great game.
