I know Rare is not with Nintendo anymore ...

I just can't get over the fact that Rare wont release BK:N%26B for the Wii! I read somewhere that they would have to talk with Nintendo to see if they release the first two games for the Wii online thing (lol at my lack of knowledge, I don't spend much time online). They were at least considering it, unless it's some kind of lie like the ''supposed Golden Sun third game''. I just like believining that Rare might go like ''You know? They had all the previous games...why not this one too?'' Aren't they still making DS games anyways? It wouldn't be so bad if they would just do this too. Am I the only one hoping?I know Rare is not with Nintendo anymore ...

Sorry, but there's no chance. Microsoft own Rare, and that's that.
Its pretty hard to miss RARE now considering how long they've been gone...
It's not so much miss RARE, just Banjo Kazooie. I loved both first games and I had heard of a third one and I was ecstatic until i realized that it wont come for the Wii. Sucks having to buy a 360 only for one game.
Its pretty hard to miss RARE now considering how long they've been gone...
Why? They were totally awesome when they were with Nintendo. It's very easy for me to miss the awesomeness of DK, Killer Instinct, Banjo, Conker, Starfox, etc. If they were still with Nintendo, they'd be one of my favourite devs for the Wii, no doubt.
I'd also like to see Banjo on Wii...

I'd forgotten about Killer Instinct
Rare being bought buy MS happened a long time ago. The first two Banjo games will be released for the XBOX LIVE arcade and N%26B will be 360 exclusive. Just answer this question,Why would MS let Rare, their property now, release a game on another console and let them make money? The reason that they are still making games for the DS is because MS has not made a handheld system for those games to go too. So they release them on the DS to make some money.Rare is now MS's. Its time to move on.

Banjo Kazooie is a Rare franchise and Microsoft owns Rare. This is no different than asking them to release Zelda and Mario on the 360.
Banjo Kazooie for GBA was good too (not Banjo Pilot).

As much as I hate to admit it, Rare lost me with releases like StarFox adventures, Conker's heavily edited remake, Perfect Dark Zero, and Viva Pinata. After the hundreds of dollars I've spend on Rare's releases in my life, (Battletoads, California games, Banjo 1%262, DKC through DK64, Jet Force Gemini, Conker's BFD, Golden Eye 007, KI, Perfect Dark) I feel like these new games don't quite live up to the standard of older Rare titles. Just my opinion, of course. And it appears as though I won't be interested in the new Banjo game either. Too bad.

Microsoft and Rare had an offer on the table that would see GoldenEye and other Rare games released on VC if Nintendo would agree to allowing GoldenEye on XBLA and taking a share of the proceeds. Nintendo refused, and so two months from completion, the game was canned. You will not see past Rare games on either system. Everyone loses! Yay!
I don't think that it's ''time to move on'', if someone misses Rare, then they miss it.
Personally I think it's really disappointing that they won't release a Wii game ever, because they were one of my favourite devs ever. I want Banjo Kazooi and DK (produced by rare)

There is no reason to miss Rare

If the company's games are that important factor it in when you buy a console.

Banjo? Yes.

BK:N%26B? No.
The whole point of why microsoft bought rare is so that they are the only ones who can have banjo. While everyone here would want a new banjo the graphics would be bad compared to the 360 and it probably wouldn't be as good as a game. We all want one though...
