I just bought red steel and...

OMG, this game really is awful. :lol:I got my wii back in the first march after it's launch (07?) and of course, I got it with LoZ:TP. But, I wanted to try out the wii's only FPS (at the time) despite bad reviews. And, it was ok. I enjoyed it.The game went back to blockbuster that same week back in march 07 and I've since then played MP3 and MoH:H2.I just today bought red steel from gamestop for $15. And man o man, it's like night and day. Really, nothing in red steel is done right or well. The sensitivity is way off, the pointer flickers, the dead zone is freaking huge, physics suck, hit detection is too lose, and the button layout and waggle layout really is crap. I guess it was the nostalgia of playing my first wii FPS, but I don't really remember it being quite this bad.Red steel 2 better step up, because there's good concept here, it just needs ubisoft to take it's time.:lol:, okay, your right, that will never happen. It's a very mediocre FPS. People like it because no matter what, an FPS can be kind of fun unless it's just completely broken.
Seriously, I will never give Ubisoft another cent. They're shovelware merchants...
I bought it at launch with Zelda and I actually really enjoyed it. It was so bad its good. I played it again a few weeks ago and couldn't control it at all. I guess once you have other FPS controls to compare it to (MP3, MOH:H2) its simply terrible.

This game is ok. Def not the best FPS ive played, but it was fun. I actually found that the sword play worked better while standing. You have got to remember, it is a launch game. Now that they have found how to make the Wiimote work, MP3, Medal of Honor, Conduit, etc... Redsteel 2 should be better.
I had more fun playing Far Cry than I did Red Steel.You forgot to mention the hilariously bad voice acting. You know its bad when you have a african american character who is clearly being voiced by a caucasian ''wannabe''

You mean FarCry: Vengeance for the Wii, right? It is impossible to have any fun with that game. Do you mean you had negative amounts of fun with Red Steel because that is the only way you could have more fun with FarCry.

Wow, Far Cry was terrible. I've never played a game inwhich the AI cheats. Controls were aweful. To those saying it was fun: When's the last time you played it? Because when I first played it I enjoyed it too, but since then I've played MP3 and MoH:H2...and now that Ive picked up redsteel again, it's simply too annoying to control.

I didn't dislike Red Steel, it was worth the $19 I spent for it, though I can understand the rage of those who paid $50 to play it at launch. Really, if you played Fart Cry Vengeance, even Red Steel feels like Crysis.
Its an FPS as long as u can move point shoot and kill something its a decent game plus Red Steel has 4 player local multiplayer which is a think that should been seen a lot more on the wii
