Yeah, I was just screwing around, also, you have impeccable taste in music in comedy and music, Louis CK is one of my favorite comedians next to Brian Regan and Queens of the Stone Age is my favorite band.

Welcome to GameSpot. :D
lol, hi everyone. And I guess I was kinda just bored at the time I took the pic... lol
If ''old people'' means our parents, you should think about it.Did they grow up with cheezy Japanese super-deformed ''moog'' Hello Kitty stuff with names like Happy Happy Go! Go! Super EX Neo Flash? No. They didn't.Looking back, rock stars from the 50's and 60's are (mostly) tame. But, I don't see anything in there to suggest that old people would think something like Wii Music is cool.Wii Music is for extremely young children and people on mushrooms. Unless we're talking about hippies that never sobered up, I don't think old people will be much happier with Wii Music than you or me.
My initial thought was Wii Fit, followed by wii play.
Wii Fit? Old people exercising? Not likely :P

My dads in his 60's and he plays exite truck, madden 08, and wii sports. I let him borrow ZTP and he couldn't figure it out.
I think wii play, tv show king, mario kart, wii fit, my word coach and endless ocean.Warioware definetly not.
My mum plays Galaxy!
Although I had to tutor her how to use the controls, newb.

Question about Secret of Mana

I love RPGs, esspecially from the 16bit era so Im wondering if I will like Secret of Mana. I know they say its better plaing with friends but if I were to play solo would the game be just as good?Question about Secret of Mana
Yes you will. It's a great game either way. Just remember, it's not turn based.Question about Secret of Mana
Playing with friends is just a plus.
It's a great game if you play it alone and gets even better with friends. My review of secret of Mana :P

[This message was deleted at the request of a moderator or administrator]
It's good with friends and alone. There is an action grid for each character that allows you to adjust the AI behavior of your partners. You can even adjust how much they charge their weapons per attack. It's still a great game.

What's with all the WiiHD talk lately?

Do people realize it was only a rumor? Yes it does sound pretty legit and it would fall in line with Nintendo typical 5 year plan, but we have no confirmation of this console coming any time soon and here we see a lot of people talking about it like it is launching this Christmas. Am I the only one who feels this way?I'm still enjoying the current Wii. And, with the way it is selling with no real evidence of sales slowing down I don't know if Nintendo would want to sell a new console until the hype on this one dies off dramatically... It may be awhile. What's with all the WiiHD talk lately?

It just seems that there has been a lot of chatter about the rumored WiiHD when there really is not much to say about it because nothing at all is confirmed...
Rumour yes but I think it could be a fact. Wii had been released in 2006. 5 years is the life of a console. So in 2011, the next console should come. Also in 2011, HD will be pratically the standard. So it's normal that the next console will be in HD.

World of Goo

I just wanted to know if world of goo is any good and is it worth downloadingWorld of Goo
It is the best WiiWare game available thus far (In my opinion).I have so far put over 10 hours into the game (and I'm only 4/5ths through the game), and it only costs $15. That's the best fifteen dollars I've spent on gaming in a long time. If you're a fan of puzzle games like Lemmings, Toki Tori, or The Incredible Machine, you simply must buy this game.World of Goo

Too bad they think europeans are cavemen and make it retail. Seriously, we all have internet. Give us the game already.
Bob_newman is absolutely right. This game is so ambitious in nearly every way. The physics engine is shockingly real, the art style is brilliant and the music is probably some of the best I've heard in a videogame, ever. I had almost completely lost my faith in Wiiware until I tried this game. It's better than most Wii games you can buy in the stores, no joke.
If your not sure then download the PC demo (its free to download) and you can try it out. I have the demo but I think it'll control a lot easier with a Wiimote than a mouse, but so far its really fun and addictive. I'm going to buy it myself .. just not now.I'm too busy with school and I don't want to get distracted.
I just wanted to know if world of goo is any good and is it worth downloading
IT is one of the best wiiware games to get right now.
I've had it for a couple days and just completed the first chapter out of five. Imo, it is the quintessential WiiWare game - simple gameplay and simple controls that form the basis for something far more complex. I think this is exactly the kind of game Nintendo had in mind when they created WiiWare, and even the actual Wii itself. The visuals are beautiful in their simplicity, and the music is fantastic. Controlling the game is as simple as pressing 'A' to pick up a goo and releasing it to drop the goo in place. The story thus far is surreal, whimsical, and good humored - and can actually trigger some emotion at times.Probably the most important aspect of this game is the level design which has also been very good so far, very creative. I will say that the first couple intro levels were a little slow and a little too simple, but World of Goo really took off after that.Lots of polish, lots of levels, lots of fun, not a lot of money :)
World of Goo is amazing. It's the best WiiWare game to date (Yes, it even stomped Lostwinds). I'm not elloquent enough to say anything that would do this game justice other than ''Just buy it''.PS: This game is so awesome that I had to force myself to stop playing a couple times to do stuff like go to college or feed my kid. I haven't had a game suck me in like that in a LOOOONG time.
Thanks for the answers ill be downloading it today
I downloaded the PC demo last night and I really enjoyed it, I'll probably download the Wii version as soon as I get some more points.

  • Harvest Moon fans, HELP!!!

Im wondering if Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility is worth getting. Ive played other harvest moons including the original , friends of mineral town, and wonderful life. I hate the fact that the original only lasts 2 years and I thought wonderful life was too easy and kind of got bored with it. I like a bit of a challenge and I prefer to focus more on the farming aspect than the socializing sim aspect. So should I get ToT? Harvest Moon fans, HELP!!!
1 this goes in recommendation 2 i too would like the answer to this question the GS review says 6 and thats usally good enough for me since GS is a little harsh Harvest Moon fans, HELP!!!
    Yes, you should get it.

A wonderful life was horrible ( majority of HM fans agree) and Tree of Tranquility is comparable to HM 64.

I started a new game, but I haven't been able to go back to it cause of work. I'll try it out this weekend when I get a chance to sit down and play with it some more.
    bump

    definately, its a good game

If Earthbound and Mother 3 comes out on ...

I would because I heard they were very good games back then and I want to see if they are or not.If Earthbound and Mother 3 comes out on ...
Why wouldn't I get Earthbound? $8 for an amazing game? Sounds like a steal to me.Also, Mother 3 won't come to the VC. It's a GBA game.If Earthbound and Mother 3 comes out on ...
EarthBound? Maybe, probably not though since I still have the cartridge (and guide...loved that case). Mother 3 I would be all over...ever since it released on the GBA in Japan I've been waiting for some kind of port.
Mother 3 if for GBA. Its impossible. But for Earthbound, what do you think?
Look at it this way... the more people who buy Earthbound on the VC (when it's released) the better chance we have of getting a new Earthbound for the Wii.And yes, I'd download Earthbound or a translated version of Mother 3 for the VC to support the cause.
I would for sure because everyone says its one of the greatest games of all time.
I would get Earthbound but not Mother 3 since it is a GBA game and it would never come out for the VC.Although I still have hope for a DSi VC where old handheld games will be available!
Mother 3, no, I already have it and have beat it numerous times...EarthBound, yes, I always get to the end and never finish it when my friend lets me borrow it. This would give me a chance to finally just finish it....
I would for sure because everyone says its one of the greatest games of all time.
Popular and greatest are two very different things... Earthbound is overated by the same people who overated SMRPG.
Nintendo will do the smart thing and cancel a VC release for Earthbound. They would make so much more money if they just made it for the DS. Look at Chrono Trigger. Even though its just a port with nothing new they people are still going to buy it. Gamers will realize that the DS port is the only thing they are going to get so they will go out and buy it.If Nintendo decided to make the Earthbound/Mother series to the DS they will have a trilogy to make money off of.Lets just hope Nintendo does not open its eyes to this possibility.
    I would get Earthbound
Earthbound no. Great game but I already have it. Not buying it again. As for mother 3. No Cuz I'm going to be playing the fan translation when it comes out.
I've already got both, but I'd buy them again. I want EarthBound on the VC so I can gift a few copies to friends. It's hard to loan out a game as uncommon as EarthBound. Also, the Mother 3 fan translation should be out in a day or two.
I wouldn't get either of them. I don't like the gameplay of Earthbound, so I'll probably not like Mother 3's gameplay either.

I would for sure because everyone says its one of the greatest games of all time.
Popular and greatest are two very different things...
i agree that they are both over-rated... but i would also agree with other people who say that they are awesome and that anyone who enjoys RPGs but doesn't play these games is missing out.
I would have to say that Earthbound or Mother 2 is one of my all time favorites and I cant wait till it comes to the VC. As far as Mother 3 goes Ive never played it but I'd really like to.
