Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but i was rearranging my setup and I noticed the underside of the Wii (which stands up vertical) was really, really warm.I can understand it being this warm if it was on, because there are games lying up against it like a book shelf, but I hadn't turned the Wii on in 2-3 days.Is it supposed to be that warm? And what's up with the weird blue UFO glow that the disc drive does? It's freakin' me out. o.O Is the Wii on even when the orange light ...
That's the Wii's stand by mode. It's not turned off all the way, instead, some of its online functions are on all the time. That means it gets information from the Interwebs, like updates and messages. The blue light tells you that you have a new message. If you have it connected to the internet, the Wii will use this time to communicate with Nintendo using the Wiiconnect 24 service.
And what's up with the weird blue UFO glow that the disc drive does? It's freakin' me out. o.O
It glows either when you get a message on your Wii or you choose to play a loaded disc from the Channel Menu. You can turn it off in the options menu, I'd tell you how but I don't quite remember myself.
The blue light means that you have a new message. It will turn off by itself when you read it.
Also, if you'd like to turn it completely off, you just hold down the power button on the console for 2-4 seconds, until the little light turns red.
Oh ok, thanks everyone.:DThe people in the Wii board are a lot nicer than the people in the other ones..>_>
