Out of room

Well, last night when I went to download World of Goo I received a message I didn't have enough space left on my Wii. I've only purchased 14 downloadable games and I'm already out of memory. I don't even have any of the junk channels like Everybody Votes. So, now anytime a new game comes out, I have to figure out what game I want to remove to add it. This sucks and it sucks even more knowing the storage solution of saving directly to an SD card (still no confirmation on playing from one) is about 9 months away.I really wish Nintendo would've put a little more foresight into the storage space on the Wii. Out of room

I have like 8 WiiWare/VC games on my Wii right now (it's full. Zero blocks left), and I'm only playing 2 of them right now. The last thing I need is more games cluttering up my system.
Save files for the most part don't take up that much. Here is the thing also with this storage solution. If you cannot play from the SD card there really is no point. If I am going to D/L a game, I am going to play it. So this ''solution'' would have me D/L to the SD card, then bring it over to the Wii to play the game. Would take just as long to move one to the SD card I don't play so I can have room for the game I am going to D/L to play.
No, I don't play 14 at the same time. But, I do alternate between the games I own fairly frequently. Maybe it's not an inconveinence for you to delete and redownload. But, I often play a different game from day to day and it becomes an inconveinence when I'm waiting 10-15 minutes for a game to download. I'll admit, it wasn't much of a problem until WiiWare games started being released. If I want to shuffle between World of Goo, Dr Mario, Toki Tori, Mega Man 9, Lost Winds, and any other WiiWare game; then I have to play the delete and redownload game. So, it's not even an issue of not being able to have 14 games, it's an issue of not being able to have 6 because removing the NES and SNES games wouldn't likely free enough space for a 6th WiiWare title.Maybe the system works great for you, but to me the system is like having to check out games I own from the library and I can only have X at a time. If I purchase a new game, I have to go to the library and return a game.
I agree with Bob Newman.
Instead of deleting them and redownloading them, I just move them to an SD card. I mean, it really isn't that time consuming.
Instead of deleting them and redownloading them, I just move them to an SD card. I mean, it really isn't that time consuming.
I might have to go the SD card route. It has to be faster than the time it takes to redownload which is my biggest complaint. With the SD cards is it a move or a copy that's performed? Can I store everything on the card and simply wipe from the Wii what I'm not playing, then copy to the Wii when I want to add it back? Or, does it act as a move where instead of deleting what's on the Wii, I would be moving it off (meaning more time taken to write)?
you copy it to the SD card, so if you delete it off of your wii and move it back all of your information will still be there.Moving from wii-SD card, or vice versa still take a while if it is a large game.Just deal with it until spring, then it will be fine
I just copy to the SD card. It takes obscenely long to copy things to the card, but it doesn't take nearly as long to move it back.Unfortunately, my SD card isn't very big and also has some pictures on it, so it's running out of space too. :-(
Just ran out today, Tetris party did me in.
