Go to http://press.nintendo.com if you don't believe me. There's my source.this plus world of goo means a lot points being spent!!! Woo...Secret of Mana is out on VC today!!!
i am very paranoid to when it comes dates on the vc/ wii ware but if this does happen then i'll have to find a way to mug someone for 20$ so i can get a cardSecret of Mana is out on VC today!!!
The news of Secret of Mana on the VC has made my day.
Hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did, its an instant classic.
Ahhh secret of mana! I remember there was a time we sent our gamecube in for repairs, and rather than plug in the n64 again, we plugged in the snes, and my bros and I all had a lil contest to see who could get the farthest into secret of mana before the gamecube cameback..I think it was a tie.
I assure you, it is there. Just downloaded it. Probably wait til after work to play it.This is one of my favorite games of all time. It's a shame that most of the sequels don't do this game justice. I only wish they released the other 2 here in the states instead of keeping it in Japan. I heard the 3rd is a real classic. After that, they really bottomed out.I was a tad worried at first that they'd pull a Chrono Trigger and slap a $40 tag on this...but fortunately that is not the case. Now let's bring on Earthbound :)

Square must have really low expectations for this game if they are willing to give it away on VC instead of rehashing it on the DS or something for $40 lol

Some of them aren't bad, though I do admit there are quite a few (Heroes, Dawn, Children, and Sword of Mana).Anyhow, glad to see the VC getting some awesome older RPGs. Hopefully it will get a few newer people to see the awesomeness of the SNES RPGs.
Wow. I really, honestly, didn't see this happening. My theory is that since the ''of Mana'' franchise isn't getting much attention these days is to remind people of the best game with the title... but I really don't care.I thought I was excited for World of Goo, but I was wrong.
World of Goo for Wiiware and Secret of Mana for the VC? Very good day today.
That's fantastic, I love Secret of Mana, I was thinking about replaying it again soon but I can't find my original SNES copy! The bad part for me is living in Australia (PAL), so our VC/WiiWare is every Friday, but we often get different stuff to North America. Does anybody know when either World of Goo or Secret of Mana are being released on PAL VC/WiiWare?
So out of left-field there. I almost made doody in my pants at this news. This is the one title I've been salivating for since the Wii launched, and now I have it!!
About time. Now the VC needs Secret of Evermore, Earthbound, Illusion of Gaia, and Lufia 1 and 2.
I don't understand something.Secret of Mana can only be played with online co-op under conditions that Nintendo does not approve. Why would third party emulators have more robust features than Nintendo's own official pay service? If you want to find a real problem with the Wii, look no further than the Virtual Console emulators. Nintendo needs to expand the VC to allow for online play. There's no reason why it isn't in place already. There's no good reason why third party emulators have more robust features than the official pay to play service. If Nintendo really wants to beat piracy, they should make a real effort to match (or exceed) the competition.
You don't understand what the VC is for. The VC doesn't allow online gaming because the VC is like a NES, SNES, N64,.... Those consoles were not online at that time. That's the goal of the VC. If you want a Mana game to be online, ask Square to make it on Wiiware. As for me, I don't want my classics to be online.
